Togtet (vikings)

A group of experts revives the dramatic and groundbreaking Viking Era by sailing across the North Atlantic. They will attempt to reach the place where the Vikings landed in America 500 years before Columbus. On the mainland, The Director of the National Museum, Rane Willerslev, follows the traces left by the Vikings, which tell the story of their power and courage. The story begins, in all likelihood, when King Godfred built the first large fleet of Viking ships. As Rane says, "To understand the Viking Era, one must understand their ships."
